An object in Los Angeles / USA: A 'suspended' heliostat with downstream fixed deflection. The heliostat (mirror-size 1 m diameter), of 'suspended' design with another deflection by a stationary aligned reflector. The heliostat guides the light vertically down to the second mirror. This one illuminates an object of art at a distance of about 15 m (see red arrow). By means of the cast shadows, the track of the sunlight can be followed clearly: The sunlight hits abeam on the heliostat, is guided onto the fixed second reflector and from there to the object to be illuminated.
